As the Caribbean Week of Agriculture continues the needs of farmers are being brought to the forefront.

The idea to make the Caribbean more attractive to investors is unfolding in conjunction with a call for more growth in the agriculture sector.

Local farmers made their voices heard, speaking about the changes they would like to see should investment plans become a reality. One Local Farmer Hamlin Stephenson said one of the biggest things to him is to see Caymanians, young and old getting involved in farming.

"I would really love to see before the good lord calls me home that we have more Caymanians and young Caymanians involved in farming we do have some young guys but most of them is in livestock and poultry," Mr. Stephenson said.
