She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Animal Production from the National Advanced School of Agriculture in Yaoundé-Cameroon; a Master of Science degree in Food Science from Kansas State University in the United States of America and a doctorate degree in Food Science from the University of Reading in England, specialising in dairy biochemistry.
Florence has over 25 years of teaching experience as a lecturer in the Faculty of Agronomy and Agronomic Sciences. She conducts research and outreach in food science and technology. She has supervised more than 30 student theses both at the bachelor's and master's levels, as well as co-supervised and graduated 4 doctoral students; many more students are currently under her supervision. Her research interests are related to post-harvest losses, food preservation/transformation, the agriculture and nutritional nexus, and logistics systems management of agro-food enterprises.
