FAO-UOC Joint University Certificate in Food Security: Assessment and Action

A specialized online course in Food Security with university certification will be jointly offered by FAO and the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) starting March 2010. The online tutored course will provide 15 university credits and will be delivered (in English) as part of the UOC Master's in Food, Society and International Food Governance.

The university online course is based on the series of Food Security e-learning resources developed under the EC/FAO Food Security Information for Action Programme, which also includes the CTA-funded module entitled: "Food Security Policies - Formulation and Implementation".
