Pitch AgriHack West Africa 2017

Pitch AgriHack West Africa 2017 has been launched in May 2017. Out of the 153 applications received (an increase of 30% for West Africa participants compared to 2016), 25 finalists have been selected. The final will be organised in parallel to AGRF 2017 activities.

Pitch AgriHack’s objective is to help develop business services offered by young e-agriculture start-ups as well as contribute to the acceleration of the adoption of innovations for stronger productivity in the agri-food sector. The winners of the first edition, targeting African, Caribbean and Pacific countries, are now improving and scaling up their services (advisory information services in Botswana, e-commerce for women cooperatives in Senegal, livestock traceability in Senegal, and better market linkages for farmers in Uganda and Ghana, etc.).
