Dr Rachid Hanna is Principal Scientist and Country Representative of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Cameroon. He is also co-executive director of the Congo Basin Institute (CBI), a joint initiative between IITA and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). CBI is based on the campus of IITA in Nkolbisson.

Florence Anyangwe Fonteh is a food scientist and currently an Associate professor and Head of the Department of Animal production, Faculty of Agriculture and Agronomic Sciences of the University of Dschang. She is the coordinator of the Center for Distance Education of the same University as well as the coordinator of the professional master's program in standards and quality control of agro-pastoral and forest products of the Faculty of Agronomy.

Michael Hailu, an Ethiopian national, is the Director of the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) based in the Netherlands. CTA is a joint institution of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States and the European Union working under the Cotonou Partnership Agreement.

Marie Noëlle Koyara

Marie-Noëlle Koyara became the first female defense minister in Central African Republic since it declared its independence in 1960. She previously held a number of ministerial posts and served as the representative of the Central African Republic in the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Elisabeth Atangana

Chair of the Regional Platform of African Peasant Organizations (PROPAC)

Elisabeth Atangana is passionate about the need for effective associations to give a voice to producers and the importance of acknowledging women’s contribution to agriculture. She has been instrumental in shaping the farmers’ movement in her native Cameroon, as well as at regional and continental levels. A former head of the Pan African Farmers’ Organization (PAFO), she is currently President of the Regional Platform of Farmers’ and Producers’ Organizations of Central Africa (PROPAC), as well as Special Ambassador for Cooperatives at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

After his doctoral studies at the University of Liège / Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, Vwima N. Stany became a teacher and researcher of rural economics in various faculties of economics and agronomy of several universities of the Great Lakes region (DRC, Rwanda, Burundi) and consultant in several national and international organizations.

Stany Vwima Ngezirabona is a Congolese national and was born in Kiliba in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on 25/04/1974.

Apollin Fotso Kuate is a Visiting Scientist at IITA-Cameroon.He holds an MSc in Applied Zoology from the University of Yaoundé I and a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Basel through the Research Fellow Partnership Program (RFPP). He is experienced in insect ecology with emphasis on ants and their interactions plants and other insects in the ecosystem.

Professor Ben Bennett is Deputy Director of the Natural Resources Institute, University of Greenwich, UK, and Deputy Faculty Director of Research and Enterprise.  He holds the Chair in International Trade and Marketing Economics at the University of Greenwich.

Moussa Djagoudi has worked in FAO for more than 10 years in the field of formulation, implementation and monitoring of projects and programs for the development of value chains and food security. Currently based in Ghana, Djagoudi has worked in Benin, Senegal and Niger, where he received a certificate of recognition for his work in implementating food security projects.
