Women are key to ensuring food and nutrition security. They mainly manage the households – and have the power of deciding on food. By empowering them we can ensure that entire families and communities get a nutritious diet.

Nutrition is a major challenge in the Pacific, a unique but diverse region that now largely relies on food imports and less on nutritious local foods. In this video, Judith Ann Francis, Senior Programme Coordinator, Science & Technology Policy, and project leader of "Promoting Nutritious Food Systems in the Pacific Islands”, explains how CTA empowers women.
