In its 4th edition, the annual AWIEF Conference, Exhibition and Awards - Africa's #1 female entrepreneurship event - has become a highly anticipated two-day event that brings together the best and most relevant minds, the major and minor players in the African entrepreneurship ecosystem with the aim of addressing Africa's economic development challenges with women as catalysts.
4th Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) Conference & Exhibition
The Africa Women Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) is a pan-African non-profit women’s economic empowerment organisation that promotes and supports female innovation, technology and entrepreneurship across Africa through a portfolio of high impact initiatives and programmes. AWIEF’s mission is to foster women’s economic inclusion, advancement and empowerment through entrepreneurship support and development.
AWIEF’s year-round initiatives and programmes culminate into the annual international and multi-stakeholder AWIEF conference, exhibition and awards event.
CTA and its regional partners AWIEF and AWAN will host a high-level panel on women in agribusiness at this year’s AWIEF conference. The objectives of the panel include:
- Provide an opportunity to exchange best practices and lessons learnt in addressing challenges and opportunities for women in agribusiness;
- Facilitate dialogue between various actors in the arena of women in agribusiness to catalyse actions and refine their interventions in order to better respond to the needs;
- Advocate for inclusive value chains and agricultural market systems to support women in agribusiness.

Its mission is to advance food security, resilience and inclusive economic growth in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific through innovations in sustainable agriculture.
