“Accelerating the Uptake of Climate-Smart Agriculture” kickoff

“Accelerating the Uptake of Climate-Smart Agriculture” kickoff

Event Overview

The project “Accelerating the Uptake of Climate-Smart Agriculture” seeks to improve resilience, agricultural productivity, food security and income of 5,000 smallholder farmers in Jamaica through the promotion of widespread adoption of climate-smart agriculture (CSA) practices. The project will identify proven CSA approaches and use innovative ICT tools to increase their adoption at the field level. It also aims to encourage co-creation of knowledge and refinement on CSA by encouraging farmer adaptation and feedback on CSA.

The kickoff event will be used to engage high-level government and policy makers in Jamaica about the project, discuss and finalise project implementation plans with the implementing national partners in Jamaica.
