Open land data and the management of data repositories

Open land data and the management of data repositories

Event Overview

In the context of the GODAN Action project, The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), The Land Portal Foundation and the Southern Africa Hub of the Network of Excellence in Land Governance (NELGA) collaborate to provide training in Open land data and the management of data repositories.

After participating in the training, participants will understand the requirements to efficiently manage and publish open land data in repositories and how to best build on and link to other existing repositories by adopting open data principles, standards and vocabularies. They will also identify the steps to create an open data repository and criteria to select the appropriate software tools for setting up a repository.

This event will provide a chance of facilitating networking opportunities and enhancing sustainable relationships with open land data stakeholders and the agriculture information sector.
