Capitalisation of Experiences for Greater Impact in Rural Development - Senegal

Capitalisation of Experiences for Greater Impact in Rural Development - Senegal

Event Overview

The Capitalisation of Experiences for Greater Impact in Rural Development” project aims to facilitate the adoption of an experience capitalisation process in rural development initiatives, where it can help improve the analysis, documentation, sharing, and the adoption and use of lessons and good practices – as an approach for continuous learning, improvement and scaling up. Representatives of different organisations, coming from countries as different as Mali and Madagascar, countries met in October 2017 in Dakar, Senegal, for a workshop organised by the project. There, following the same approach tried in other regions, the facilitators helped participants develop the necessary specific skills to start and complete a capitalisation process, and to draw lessons by doing it.

The process is continuing with a second workshop, with the same participants, again in Dakar, between the 5th and the 9th of February, 2018. This new training meeting focuses on the steps needed to share the main lessons drawn in each case, and will be followed by a new round of online contact and support between the project staff and all participants.
