The Committee on World Food Security (CFS) is the foremost inclusive international and intergovernmental platform for all stakeholders to work together to ensure food security and nutrition for all. The committee reports to the UN General Assembly through the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and to FAO Conference.

CFS holds an annual plenary session every October in Rome, Italy. On the 15 October 2019, Chris Addison, CTA's Senior Coordinator, Data4Ag, is among the panelists for the session on ''Information & Predictive Analytics 4 Innovation in Food Security and Agriculture: Partnering to enhance access to research and open data for Development and to harness the power of predictive analytics for food security monitoring''.
