IDEAL Burkina (Innovative Enterprise development and Market Linkages for Young Agripreneurs in Burkina Faso) is a project that intends to mobilise digital technologies to strengthen agricultural entrepreneurship in Burkina Faso. The project will focus on technical and commercial collaboration between young farmers/agripreneurs and young entrepreneurs offering ICT services for agriculture (e-agricultural entrepreneurs).
Launch workshop of the "iDEAL Burkina"
More experienced e-agricultural service providers could also be mobilised. Emphasis will be placed on ICT services promoting better market access for farmers and agripreneurs, particularly through the services offered by e-agricultural startups. The young farmers/agripreneurs involved will primarily be those collaborating with producer organisations and national initiatives already supporting agricultural entrepreneurship to foster synergies and sustainability. The intervention is based on the iAP model (Intra-generational e-agriculture partnership) developed by CTA.
The project will be implemented over 2 years and the specific objectives are:
- Strengthen the use of ICTs by young agripreneurs and farmers to develop their access to the market
- Strengthen the provision of ICT services by young e-agricultural entrepreneurs so that they can better serve agripreneurs and farmers
