Strengthening sustainable access and effective utilisation of open data in agriculture and nutrition initiatives

Event Overview

One of the persistent challenges facing various stakeholders in the agriculture and nutrition sector in Zimbabwe is physical and cognitive access to relevant credible evidence to use in identifying research priorities, doing the research, develop policy and in making programme interventions to ensure food and nutrition security.

This workshop  will target food and nutrition security stakeholders who include researchers, policymakers, implementers and development partners. The training will be practical and activity-based, centered around participants’ own experience in their institutions.

The objective of the workshop is to develop the individual level skills of agriculture and nutrition stakeholders to understand what is open data, find, evaluate and effectively utilise food and nutrition open access information resources as well as develop practical implementation plans to improve institutional processes of engaging with and using these information resources to enhance food and nutrition security in Zimbabwe.
