The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) shut down its activities in December 2020 at the end of its mandate. The administrative closure of the Centre was completed in November 2021.

Biography

Oluyede Ajayi (PhD) is an experienced international development professional, with extensive experience spanning scientific research in agriculture & NRM, project cycle & grant management, partnership contract preparation, and private sector engagement. He is Senior Programme Coordinator in charge of agriculture and climate change programme area in CTA. He has designed and managed global projects to build resilience of farmers across ACP countries. He is multi-lingual and a widely cited author.

Integrated crop-livestock systems that provide synergies towards more resilient climate-smart agricultural production systems are possible despite the recognised competition between crops and livestock enterprises. To make this work, it is necessary to understand the trade-offs and capitalise on the opportunities provided through integration.
