Imelda Aniambossou

Biography

Imelda Aniambossou is a young LME practitioner with more than 5 years of experience. She holds a Master degree in Agricultural Economics. Early 2016, she started working as a Research Assistant in Benin. Her area of interest includes proposal writing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of rural development projects. She had international experience in both African and European countries. After a one year internship (2018-2019) for the LME unit at CTA; she is now a Junior LME consultant.

Despite women’s role as key players in agriculture and the rural economy of developing countries, a great many barriers prevent them from making a more substantial contribution. Compared with men, women have less access to productive resources, such as affordable finance. In Uganda, an alternative financial service is helping women to save, borrow, increase productivity and strengthen their roles across the agricultural value chain.
