The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) shut down its activities in December 2020 at the end of its mandate. The administrative closure of the Centre was completed in November 2021.

Dr. Situ Lawali is an Agro-economist, environmentalist and with solid experience in the fields of Socio-economic and environmental development. He is a teacher, a researcher and the Head of Department of Sociology and Rural Economy in the Faculty of Agronomy and Environmental Sciences, University of Maradi, Niger. His research focuses mainly on rural vulnerability, environmental management, agricultural value chains, and adaptation to the impacts of climate change.
