Ms Tuga Alaskary
Senior Advisor, Policy and Partnerships, African Risk Capacity
Ms Tuga Alaskary joined the ARC team in 2010 and currently serves as a Country Engagement Manager. In this capacity, she is responsible for managing the in-country processes for several ARC member states.

Biography
Prior to joining the ARC project, she was a Liaison Officer at the Office of the Prime Minister of Iraq where she took a leading role in drafting a civil service reform programme in collaboration with the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq. She has also worked for various NGOs, the United Kingdom’s civil service and in academic institutions in London and Baghdad.
A British and Iraqi national, Tuga has a B.A. honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Essex and an MSc in Development Studies from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies. She is a native English and Arabic speaker.
