Closing the gender digital divide, opening opportunities for women in agriculture
AWIEF Conference brings together on an annual basis, business leaders, public decision-makers and investors from Africa and around the world for two days of discussions on innovative and sustainable solutions to challenges in the development and growth of women-owned and women-led businesses needed to transform the African economy.
Africa is on the move, with signs of progress and growing prosperity for millions of its people. The continent has witnessed sustained economic growth and a modernisation of its economy for more than two decades powered by an increasingly inclusive agricultural transformation and by rapid growth in digital innovations.
This session introduces frontier technologies and innovative thinkers, demonstrates pathways to integrate new technologies in rural communities, and supports grassroots innovation and development. It is designed to project a long-term vision of the next generation of smallholder agriculture projects, looking ten to thirty years into the future.
The General assembly meeting of the Innovative Cooperative on Nutrition (ICON) gathers all its 16 Ashoka fellows members, in Dakar, Senegal to review all the activities carried out since its last meeting in March 2018 in Ouagadougou, Burkina and validate the action plan for the next 12 months.
