Rapid urbanisation in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific is leading to dramatic growth in the demand for food. This demographic trend puts significant pressures on urban food systems, but also presents new opportunities for communities and agribusinesses to grow more food locally.
Based on previous sessions which articulate the different dimensions of climate actions in agriculture, this event called on countries, international organizations and businesses to take cognizance of the advantage offered by climate investments in agriculture, and urged stakeholders to come together for the transformation required within the sector.
